Guitar & Piano Lessons in Bham AL

Fret Zero Guitar specializes in guitar lessons, piano lessons, bass lessons, & ukulele lessons in person and via Skype. All payment should be by either cash or check for in-person lessons ($100 flat tuition), or via Paypal for Skype lessons. Students learn how to read music, how to play chords, how to play scales, and how to play rhythms, and how to play songs, including dynamics. There is a 24 hour requirement for rescheduling. Starting in the Fall of 2011, there is an beginner’s guitar class available to homeschoolers in the Chelsea, AL area off Hwy. 280. For more info, please copy & paste this URL into your browser:

Tuition is $150 per semester and the class is primarily aimed at 3rd to 6th graders, or approximate ages.

Brief Bio of John Zachary Sullivan (“Zac”) – FZG Music Teacher

Zach has played with the band Fret Zero, The Seekers, Blackleaf Junction, as well as various praise and worship bands in the Southeast and in Germany. Over the summer he and his friend Jason composed numerous songs based on their dreams – a very recommendable method of songwriting.

Influences: Ted Pearce, Beatles, Better Than Ezra, Quinn & Qristina Bachand, Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Explosions in the Sky, soul & gospel music, Brad Paisley, Jewish folk music, Irish and klezmer folk music, Sufjan Stevens, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Tal Wilkenfeld, and others.
